Fairs
and Festivals forms a very important part
of Rajathan Culture. The Desert Jewel of India,
Rajasthan shimmers with even more vibrancy
during the time of its colourful fairs and
festivals.
The desert glitters with the colors of joyous celebration
and gay abandon with every fair and festival of Rajasthan.
Rajasthan's
love for colour and joyous celebrations is proved by the
elaborate rituals and the gay abandon with which it surrenders
itself to the numerous fairs and festivals of the region.Festivals
hold an unusual lure for the Rajasthanis and they find any
number of reasons to celebrate. While some of these are
traditional festivals, there are also a large number that
have been recently introduced by the tourism department
to showcase the heritage of a region. Chances are, when
travelling in the state, you will come across any number
of local fairs and festivities in which you can participate.
